Alice Girard: Kewadin St. Ignace Team Member of the Year

Sault Ste. Marie, MI – Alice Girard, Kewadin hotel front desk team member, was recently selected as the Team Member of the Year at Kewadin St. Ignace.

The team member was chosen by peers for this award and will receive a personal plaque; $200, entertainment tickets, dinner, and a hotel stay along with a plaque that is located in each casino.

Alice started working with the casino hotel in August 2008.  "Alice is the anchor of the front desk,” said Lisa Sawruk, Kewadin St. Ignace hotel manager.  “She works great under pressure, works well with others and will do anything for anyone.”  According to employees working with Alice, it is not just one thing that makes Alice the team member of the year, it’s her work performance every day that makes her the best. “She is what every Kewadin  employee should be,” said Steve Sprecker, casino manager.  “Alice goes out of her way with everything that she does. Alice loves her job and it shows.”

Kewadin Casinos, with locations in Sault Ste. Marie, St. Ignace, Hessel, Manistique and Christmas, has been in operation for 25 years and employs approximately 1,000 team members.
