Kewadin collecting items for area charities

Kewadin Casinos is partnering with area radio stations to help those in our communities who are less fortunate during the holiday season by being a drop off location for food, toys and winter clothing.
From November 16 – December 7 each Kewadin property will have collection areas for food, warm clothing, or toys located by each of the casino’s restaurants.

Customers will be able to drop off items in this area and then fill out an entry slip to be in a drawing for a local $50 shopping spree. (Four $50 gift certificates per site)

Items collected will be donated to:

Ø      Sault – Feeding America (Formerly EUP Food Bank)
Ø      St. Ignace – St. Ignace Hope & Food Pantry and Mackinac County Toy Drive Program
Ø      Hessel – Cedar Post Food Pantry & Thrift Shop
Ø      Christmas – Alger County Women’s Shelter & St. Vincent De Paul
Ø      Manistique – St. Vincent De Paul & Good Neighbors Thrift Shop

In addition to the items collected, Kewadin will donate up to $500 to the above organizations. Four drawings for $50 community shopping sprees will be held on December 8 at all casino locations.

“The goal of this program is to encourage good will in our communities and to increase community partnerships” said Tony Goetz, chief operating officer. For more information on the program, visit www.kewadin.com
